What is paintball?
It's a sport in which a group of adults or teenagers go out in the woods
/indoor or specially designed fields with a paintball gun playing capture the flag. Only, in this game each player has a gun/marker that fires gelatin capsules filled with a water-soluble marking dye, by means of a CO2 or Air pressure. Other equipment is also needed so as a face mask, and paintballs. If you're shot and marked, you're out of the game and have to wait until the next one starts. The most common variation is two teams at opposite ends of a playing field, each with a flag hung at 'home base.' The object is to go get the other team's flag and bring it back to your base. When you encounter people on the other team, you try to tag them out before they get you.

Is it Safe?
Like all action sports (ruby, hockey, basketball) paintball can be dangerous unless the correct safety equipment is used. The most important is eye protection and for all rules to be followed.

Most paintball makers will fire a thin plastic shell
filled with a water-soluble fill at a speed of 200-300 feet
per second. Most sites enforce the rule of wearing eye protection when ever plays are in the playing area.

Are there Age limits?
Anyone over 12 years can play paintball. Ages of 12-18 are regulated on a field-by-field basis.

Does it hurt?
The paintball is designed to break upon impact and most times this does not hurt. Most pain or stinging sensation com
es when the ball fails to burst but any pain only lasts a few seconds. It also hurts more the closer you are shot as well
